Medieval Pastries

Ahh my fellow queens, serfs, lords and ladies...should you hunger for campy and kitschy jousting and plaster-of-Paris castle walls, look no further than a night at Medival Times! It was fun, I can't deny...I went last Saturday with several people for a friend's birthday...we cheered on our evil green knight, only to have him get tragically stabbed in the semifinals! sniff sniff...

But does one go for the food? Ahh this is a different topic entirely...let's just say, your money seems to be invested more in the entertainment than the food. You know what you are eating for dinner, however the meal is ended with a generic footnote about a "pastry of the Castle"....makes me think it's whatever is leftover or what they could get in bulk. So sad, no attention paid to dessert! And what we had, I think McDonald's makes a version of this that um, tastes muuuch much better.

Brioche without the tete

ok so I made brioche - yum! My first time with my new official brioche pan...I had to test to see if it was done, and to see if it was fit to serve of course. My next brioche will be complete with its tete (the middle!)
